Happy Thanksgiving

For those of us in the US, tomorrow is Thanksgiving. In spite of everything that's happening in our country, there's a lot to be thankful for. Maybe it's mostly worries on the national scale, but there is plenty of room for gratitude on the personal front.

I like Thanksgiving. What's not to like about a holiday that focuses on food and people you love, with no religious issues to get between you and the pie? We should all be able to get behind the idea of showing a little gratitude for the good things we have.

Here are a few things I'm grateful for.
A few years out of date. We are overdue for a family portrait.
I'm especially grateful for my husband, who is my co-conspirator in travel to beautiful places. Plus: he supports my crazy writing habit.
Speaking of that writing thing, I'm really rather grateful to have been able to indulge my desire to write, and to have my books out there, available to readers.

And how about feasts of good things, and the health to be able to indulge a bit?
Health, food, family, and the freedom to be my creative self. There's a lot to be grateful for.

Happy Thanksgiving!

    1. Same to you, though IIRC you are in England where it's not a holiday :) But as you say, we can all be grateful.

  2. Those pies look wonderful! I like Thanksgiving because it isn't really commercialized and it's a good reminder to be thankful for all that we have. I hope you have a lovely turkey day tomorrow :-)

    1. Well, you have no particular reason to remember it, given where you are! I mean, do I send you a card on Guy Fawkes day? (Shoot--missed it again, didn't I?).

  5. I’m very thankful that our move is over!

Last year we decided it was now or never if we were going to move to our dream location – the Ozark Mountains. We started taking trips up to find the perfect location. We were fortunate enough to find a parcel just a little over 7 acres right at the edge of town. It’s on the historical registry still having the old stone fence on it as well as two large stone 1853 fireplaces from the original home. We designed our new home around those two fireplaces having one in the living room and one in the bedroom. We were able to find an amazing young build with Christian values to build our home. We never had any fear or doubts in turning over our money to someone we just met hundreds of miles away from us to build our home. He was God sent! The home was finished and we started moving in during late May. With my health issues it took some time both in boxing up and moving plus the unpacking. However, here at Thanksgiving we are extremely thankful that it’s all done and we are now able to sit back and enjoy our new home in our dream location. Life is good and we are very blessed!

May you have a Happy Thanksgiving!
