Edit May 3, 2014: Bravo, Victor is live on Amazon!

For the letter B and the Kid Lit Blog Hop, we bring you an exciting cover reveal from a favorite children's author, Jemima Pett!  How does this relate to my wilderness theme?  Well, Victor does have to cross some wild country!  And since the world of publishing often feels a bit like a wilderness, that applies too!

Coming in May, Book 6 in the Princelings of the East series: Bravo Victor.  Our young bartender, Victor, has grown up and is trying to make his way as a business guru. He encounters a shady traveller and seeks advice from King Fred, who sends him on a mission to aid the mysterious Sundance and his beautiful accomplice, and to find Fred’s brother, George, overdue after a visit to a flying festival in the Rhinelands. Victor tells how he uncovers a tangled web of lies and deceit, and an old friend from the past, or is it his future?

And now, without further ado, the cover:

As a matter of interest, I will note that Jemima and I share the same cover artist, thanks to her generosity in letting me cut in on Dani's time!  I love her work, and the stormy mountains in the background here make me itch for the hiking season!

    1. It is! I love the storms over the mountains in the distance! If you haven't read any of the Princelings books, they are great fun for kids from about 10 up (and even more fun for adults, I suspect, sort of like my Ninja Librarian books).

    1. It is a great series! I've reviewed a couple of the books in it (they're listed in my Children's books reviews section, but I'll look up links when I get a chance).

I'm glad you enjoy my reviews. I try to make them both helpful and fun to read.

  3. Great cover art. I know we're not supposed to judge a book by it's cover, but I did.

    1. Well, you may have seen I'm still looking for a book for T. None for X either, but I have an idea for a solution to that one. I realize that last year's A to Z was where Xavier Xanthum came from, but he doesn't have a book. Yet. And I can't do that in three weeks!
