For the letter B and the Kid Lit Blog Hop, we bring you an exciting cover reveal from a favorite children's author, Jemima Pett! How does this relate to my wilderness theme? Well, Victor does have to cross some wild country! And since the world of publishing often feels a bit like a wilderness, that applies too!
Coming in May, Book 6 in the Princelings of the East series: Bravo Victor. Our young bartender, Victor, has grown up and is trying to make his way as a business guru. He encounters a shady traveller and seeks advice from King Fred, who sends him on a mission to aid the mysterious Sundance and his beautiful accomplice, and to find Fred’s brother, George, overdue after a visit to a flying festival in the Rhinelands. Victor tells how he uncovers a tangled web of lies and deceit, and an old friend from the past, or is it his future?

That is a beautiful cover! It gives me a great sense of what's to come.
ReplyDeleteIt is! I love the storms over the mountains in the distance! If you haven't read any of the Princelings books, they are great fun for kids from about 10 up (and even more fun for adults, I suspect, sort of like my Ninja Librarian books).
DeleteLooks like a great series. Love to follow all your book reviews....
ReplyDeleteIt is a great series! I've reviewed a couple of the books in it (they're listed in my Children's books reviews section, but I'll look up links when I get a chance).
DeleteI'm glad you enjoy my reviews. I try to make them both helpful and fun to read.
Great cover art. I know we're not supposed to judge a book by it's cover, but I did.
ReplyDeleteWe all do. We haven't really any other way.
DeleteLove the cover! I can't wait for the time to catch up with their adventures. I'm a bit behind. :) Off to visit Jemima's post next. Thanks for linking into the KidLitBlogHop! Have a fantastic rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm behind too. And April is not going to be the time for catching up!
DeleteI'm glad you like the cover! Thanks for featuring it, Rebecca. I like your reviews, too :) Let me know if I can help with any more of your 'wilderness' posts lol

Well, you may have seen I'm still looking for a book for T. None for X either, but I have an idea for a solution to that one. I realize that last year's A to Z was where Xavier Xanthum came from, but he doesn't have a book. Yet. And I can't do that in three weeks!
DeleteCongrats to Jemima on her new book.
ReplyDeleteYes! I have to catch up so I can read this. Her books just keep getting better.
DeleteAnother great cover Jemima!! Thanks for linking the cover reveal in the Kid Lit Blog Hop!
